In recent years, due to the increasing demand for LED lamps and lanterns, governments around the world have also actively supported them with relevant stickers, and LED industrial lighting has grown rapidly. According to the latest research report of LEDinside, the green energy division of TrendForce, the global LED industrial lighting market size in 2016 reached US$2.932 billion, with an annual growth rate of more than 15%, and the market size in 2020 will reach US$5.204 billion.

Among them, in industrial lighting applications, due to the demand for exchange, the market prospect of LED explosion-proof lamps is promising. The use of LED explosion-proof lamps is to prevent the ignition of surrounding explosive mixtures, such as explosive gases, dust environments, and gas. The specific method adopted by it, lamps and lanterns are widely used in special working environments where electrical and dust are flammable and explosive. Wu Yingjie, deputy research manager of LEDinside, said that thanks to the promotion of petroleum and related industries, explosion-proof lamps occupy a large market position in mining, petroleum, military, transportation, electric power and other industrial fields.

LED explosion-proof lights have been used for many years, and various companies have also mastered more experience in research and development, and developed generations of things, which basically meet the requirements of use in dangerous situations. Wu Yingjie pointed out that LED explosion-proof lamps are smaller in size, lighter in weight, longer in service life and more moderate in price than traditional explosion-proof lamps, which are highly favored by users. For lighting occasions in the petroleum and petrochemical industries, such as considering the overall quality of the project, safety performance, cost control and future regulations on the removal of mercury lamps, choosing mature LED explosion-proof lamps is the only way.

The protection standard of explosion-proof lamp equipment depends on the environmental area. Due to the continuous expansion of international trade exchanges, electrical explosion-proof technology represented by IEC standards has been more and more applied in the world. The use and installation of electrical equipment in the United States must comply with the requirements of the American Electrical Regulations NEC 500 / NEC 505. At the same time, the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) will come to the site to conduct audits. Other countries use IEC and NEC 500 / NEC 505 as the benchmarks, and propose corresponding equipment protection standards, such as China's adoption of the GB3836 national standard. Wu Yingjie said that due to the different standards in various countries and the high cost of tool certification, only a local factory can provide safe tool installation, maintenance, and after-sales services.
